<3 Top 10 to win on Valentine’s Day <3
I composed a list of things that I feel would be cute to do on Valentine’s Day. Fellas I hope you are listening.
1. Home-made valentine’s card. For me I feel this is so thoughtful and creative. It shows you put effort into it and it’s your words. Besides anyone can buy a card with some heart-felt saying on it BUT your card is a ONE of a kind trust this makes a lady feel EXTRA special knowing that her girlfriend won’t have the same exact card setting on her dresser.
2. Cancel the dinner reservations and have a candle light dinner at home. This is a nice touch because I feel reservations on Valentine’s Day are a huge hassle and less intimate. How many times have little arguments started due to missed reservations, long waiting times or your significant other complaining about the choice made. It’s often pretty loud as well, why don’t you try the candle lit environment, make a romantic mix cd and the best part the focus is where it needs to be on YOU and YOUR date. If you can’t cook fellas… you could order out and pretend that you made it lol.
3. If you are going to go the dinner reservation route, try purchasing her a beautiful dress in (HER SIZE), wrap it up in a nice package, arrive early to pick her up and request that she wears what you got her on your outing. If you want extra brownie points matching heels wouldn’t hurt at all. (The key to this success is to know your significant other’s style and size.)
4. Flowers (of course cliché) But it’s how you utilize the flowers there are so many uses for example: bouquet of flowers, rose pedals spread throughout the house on the ground, bed, table counter, in or around the hot tub, around the pool with candles… Flowers EVERY where you get the drift lol! * A little hint to pull this off and NOT hurt your pockets: artificial rose pedal (silk rose petal) they work wonders I found some pink and red ones in Wal-Mart for less than five bucks per package! They also look VERY REAL =0)
5. Have an exciting scavenger hunt with clues and places that are special to the both of you like the first place you met or had your first date. You could even have it within your home and watch as your significant other follows the clues and discovers the treasures you left for them!
6. Go for a walk on the beach, at the park or any place with beautiful scenery
7. Wine gotta toast to that lol! If you don’t drink sparkling wine anyone?
8. Fellas if you were gifted with the gift of singing serenade your love with that voice of yours. If you can’t sing… in the wise words of Rupaul “lip sync for your LIFE”. Don’t be afraid to go all out and make up a routine if you like this would definitely make your lady laugh ( if she has a sense of humor)
9. Chocolate, assorted candy and MORE CHOCOLATE which is usually accompanied with stuffed animals and flowers.
10. Attention, attention, ATTENTION Ladies!
Although Valentine’s Day seems like it was basically invented to revolve around us, and our significant others are to shower us with flowers, gifts, romantic get-a-ways, presents, presents and more presents. It wouldn’t hurt to do something for your guy. I shocked one of my past boyfriends by doing just that, after I got all my gifts and the romantic dinner I showed him how much I appreciated him. I got him his favorite artist Cd he was trying to find and had no luck finding and had a gift bag full of goodies of his favorite things, and sprinkled the silk rose petals (this is how I knew about the pedals lol!) all over his room along with candles. I blind-folded him and led him into his room with the gift bag sitting on the center of the bed. He was beyond shocked! For one he didn’t expect to get anything from me and I was the first girlfriend he had that actually got him something for Valentine’s Day. So make your men feel just as special and show them that you appreciate them. Be creative, show them that you pay ATTENTION to what they like and go beyond purchasing the cutest thing you can find at victoria secrets lol!
Hope this was helpful and that everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day =)
Good stuff Patricia.
